The 2024 THIA Annual Conference will take place in Quebec City from Wednesday, May 22nd to Friday, May 24th, 2024. THIA’s annual conference is a must-attend event for leaders (and future leaders) in the travel insurance industry. Our conference provides a platform for executives, advisors and regulators to learn and exchange perspectives on the key issues facing our industry and the consumers we serve and support. This year's conference will showcase a series of sessions focusing on key topics such as the US healthcare system, a panel of medical directors, in-flight emergency care, and a panel featuring provincial regulators.

Our host city, Québec City, is unlike any other in North America with its dramatic cliff-top location overlooking the St. Lawrence River, its fortification walls, narrow winding streets and wealth of historic buildings spanning four centuries. Today, Québec City is the heart of French culture in North America. THIA's conference will be held at the Delta Hotel Quebec. This contemporary hotel is a short walk to Old Québec (Vieux-Québec) where historic monuments still stand. Visit Battlefields Park, Musée de la civilisation – Québec and the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec | MNBAQ along with local crêperies and wine bars.

OPTIONAL Tour - An evening at the Chateau... Cocktails, Heritage and Fun at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac
No visit to Quebec City would be complete without a visit to the prestigious Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. This is your opportunity to experience a guided tour of one of Canada’s most iconic hotels, which opened in 1893. This 5-star hotel is the proud recipient of the 2022 Global Hotel of the Year Award from the prestigious World Luxury Awards, as well as the global winner in the Luxury Castle Hotel category.
Learn about Le Château Frontenac’s distinguished history from a local expert who will lead us through this landmark property. Discover the famous people and events that have shaped the identity of this historic building. We will conclude our evening with cocktails and Québécois culinary delights specially curated for THIA’s guests.
Time: 5:30PM to 8:00PM
Guests will meet at Le Château Frontenac at 5:30PM. The tour of the hotel will be approximately one hour with the reception to follow.
The cost is $70 plus applicable taxes.
OPTIONAL Tour - Tour of L’enfant-Jesus Hopital
For delegates who want to get a deeper understanding of the Canadian healthcare system, we have arranged a special opportunity to tour the Level One trauma centre and major receiving hospital CHU de Québec/L’Enfant-Jesus Hôpital.
