Cruise ships will be allowed in Canadian waters starting Nov. 1, 2021

Canada’s cruise ship ban, previously effective through Feb. 28, 2022, will end earlier than expected. Transport Minister Omar Alghabra today announced that cruise ships can return to Canadian waters effective Nov. 1, 2021.

Some Cruise Lines Not Accepting Passengers With Mixed COVID-19 Vaccinations

Norwegian Cruise Line has said it will not accept mixed vaccination protocols (e.g. AstraZeneca + Pfizer) on cruises that embark or disembark from U.S. ports. Holland America Line and Carnival Cruise Line also currently have similar policies in place. Many Canadians have mixed vaccinations after the country's National Advisory Committee on Immunization recommended the practice in June.
Canada to (Partially) Open Borders August 9

Fully vaccinated Americans and permanent residents residing in the US will be able to visit Canada without quarantining as of August 9 with other vaccinated international travellers welcomed on September 7.
