THiA's recently conducted Smart Traveller Survey was designed to identify the public’s understanding of common factors that can lead to a claim being denied. On September 30th, a press release was sent to media to indicate the key findings of the survey along with the recommendations for consumers to follow to ensure that they have the correct travel insurance protection for their trip.

On October 26th, CTV Toronto looked at how alcohol can affect a travel insurance claim and referenced the results from the recent survey related to consumers' understanding of travel insurance and alochol consumption as well as the importance of understanding one's policy.
