Zurich Insurance Company Ltd (Canadian Branch) (Zurich Canada) announced today a new partnership with The Destination: Travel Group Inc. (DTGI). This agreement between two strong brands will offer protections for visitors to Canada and Canadian travellers.

Under this new agreement, Zurich Canada will provide inbound and outbound travel insurance coverage of DTGI’s branded insurance programs, including Leisure Travel Plan, International Students, Snowbird Plan, Visitors to Canada Plan and Expat Plan.

The new partnership includes access to Zurich Travel Assist, a 24/7 travel assistance service administered by Toronto-based Zurich subsidiary World Travel Protection. For more than 25 years, World Travel Protection has provided medical, travel and security assistance services, complete with a mobile app, to over 3.8 million travellers.

In recent years, Zurich Canada has recognized the need to expand its offering to support Canada’s broader immigration goals and protect inbound travellers with a strong insurance offering. Since the launch of Zurich Travel Insurance, Zurich has expanded beginning with outbound travellers, to now include insurance for international students and visitors to Canada to address this important need for those planning to visit, work or study in Canada.
