Canadians who flout quarantine laws could face stiffer penalties, Trudeau says

The Canadian government is open to stricter penalties for travellers who violate the mandatory quarantine period. The Public Health Agency of Canada says that police have followed up with more than 80,000 travellers since isolation orders were put in place in March 2020 and 98 per cent have been found to be in compliance.
